The nose art reads 'Naval Encounter'

Aurigny airways have cut back on most of their regional services including Alderney and Dinard, only Guernsey and Stansted being retained, the aircraft fleet has also been drastically thinned out with the Saab 340 aircraft being returned to the lessors.
Probably the last shot from Llanbedr here, and certainly the last flight of a Jindivik ! Taken on the afternoon of the 26th of September 2004, Jindivik ZJ-493 [A92-814] lifts off from it's trolley for the last time. With two flare packs fitted at the wing roots it's off to fight a Typhoon and two ASRAAM missiles. Less than forty minutes later it returned safely with no sign of damage [ and no flare packs ] - next stop a museum ?

Wigram,New Zealand.
G-AIKR Airspeed Consul which was formerly owned by the Rapide/Consul group at Baginton airport, left the UK for the National aviation museum at Rockliffe in November 1965,after 38 years in storage she has been conveyed to the Royal Newzealand air force museum at Wigram where she will be repainted as NZ1289 of No.1 SFTS Wigram 1943.
After failing to aspire to a new certificate of airworthiness at Baginton she was purchased by Radio control services Ltd of Bedford, from here she was placed at the Duke & Duchess of Bedford grounds at Woburn abbey, thankfully the plans to use her as a childrens plaything along with a Westland S-51 Dragonfly helicopter came to nothing and she was shipped out to Canada.
The aircraft will remain on loan to the RNZAF as a reminder of the war service at Wigram.
